Join our cooperative cinema

Partizanfilm members will pay a reduced price for admission, saving $2.50 per ticket. Our non-member prices will be $12 in the evening, $8.50 for a weekend matinee, and $7.50 for a weekday matinee.

But membership is about more than just receiving a discount. The members run Partizanfilm.

They will elect the Board of Directors and weigh in on cinema operations directly at our annual meeting. Our democratic structure, as constituted in our bylaws, resembles that of a consumer co-op, familiar to anybody who shops at one of Vermont’s several community-owned grocery stores. But as a nonstock corporation, Partizanfilm is technically controlled (rather than owned) by its members — nonprofits do not legally have owners. We will not issue a patronage dividend; all revenue will support operations.

Brett Yates (president), Gretchen Schissel (treasurer), Antonio Golán (secretary), Ali Hamedani, and Michelle Sagalchik are Partizanfilm’s founding directors. We will hold our first election in 2026. As a member, you’ll have a chance to run! You’ll also have access to our optional member work program.

Annual memberships cost $60. The start date for your membership will be our opening day, not the date of purchase, and it will last a full year after that before requiring renewal. If you’re excited about this project, please show your support by joining today instead of waiting.

We’ve aimed to price the membership affordably. We also gratefully accept donations.
