At Partizanfilm, we have our work cut out for us. Turning an empty commercial unit downtown into a movie theater is a big job.
It’s not a DIY project. We have a licensed architect and skilled tradespeople on hand. But in order to save at least a few crucial bucks, we plan to take on some of the simpler parts of the job ourselves. If you wouldn’t mind wielding a paintbrush or a hammer to help get us over the finish line, please get in touch with us! You can use the form on the right. We’ll negotiate the perks.
After opening, we’ll offer opportunities for members to earn free movie tickets by volunteering to assist operations on the floor. Cooperatives have long organized member work programs both for financial survival and as a way to boost community involvement, buy-in, and solidarity.
